MG Strike Freedom Hi Nu - Customized Build

MG Strike Freedom Hi Nu
Modeled by DAVIME
*The modeler used MG Strike Freedom Gundam, trimmed some armor to reveal internals, added some option parts, pla platings, scratchbuilt some parts, turned the wings to PG like wings*

  2. Sweet mother of...I think this is an amazing customization. I think all it needs now would be 00 Quan[T] parts and we'd have 3 of the most powerful Gundams mashed into 1.

    Painting is really bad aswell.
    Use of stickers!! Uuuugh!
    Very messy.
The only good thing about this is the concept

  9. good to know I wasn't the only one thinking this was a messy build.. XD nonetheless... kudos to the modeler for trying it out..

  10. Overdetailed, yet the utter simplicity of the fuel tanks (if they are fuel tanks) at the back really killed it, IMO.

But crap, at least he already got to mod something; I have yet to do so! T_T

  17. First I'd just like to say Im not on anyone's side here. Whatever I say comes from my heart, not because someone said this, someone said that.

First of all I think the concept is great, combining 2 cheesy mechs in to one. Color combination is nice (although there's a hint of Force Impulse scheme). Painting is ok for me, he might be new at painting/ABing (nothing a good practice can't solve). For the signs, its ok, although there's silvering on them... I would suggest decals next time.

What I don't like about it (I'm not saying hate) is that there's too much pla-plating going on. Too much that it's overwhelming the kit.

Why too much you ask? There's already a lot of protruding parts plus cut-offed armors to show the inerts (which is ok for me), But the pla-plates just added too much contrast to the kit.

I think what he was trying to do was a sorta G-System style look, or it might've been just his personal preference. I would suggest to take a look at NGT's style. His mods aren't over the top, but when you look at it... it just takes your breath away.

Remember too much of something isn't always the best thing. Modding a kit is great, but always go with a bit of simplicity on the side.

  18. What, now people who don't agree that this is not a great work have to shut up?

Granted I admire him for being able to come up with a mod, but that doesn't stop me from taking down notes on what I should avoid. Can't I point out things that he could've done better at?

  19. And I agree with you, anon @6:49AM.

  20. Oh crap, did it again. I'm starting to suck at my negatives.

    Yes. I agree.
Like what I've said the concept, mods, overall look wasn't really bad but it's too much *pla-plate.

*so that's what they called it.

"Cheesy mechs?" Screw you Anon, I would insert more expletives and a dismemberment of a certain body organ of yours if I wasn't trying to be relaxed right now. But someone help me you are pushing it.

  25. wake

the images are a bit to noisy.... the true beauty is hidden on this kit. You can see the concept however the quality of the kit is not convincing to me. paints stickers and seams are not seen in this picture. would like to see it on person or rather in clear photo to conclude.

not hating here i just dont want to be cheated on what im seeing.

  27. Tut .. Tut.. Tut.. Tut .. I can only shake my head in disappointment seeing the comments haters leave behind .....

It's true everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but to say those kind of things..... Tut Tut Tut ...

First - don't be some D**k-less chickens and hide behind Anon... what, too scared for payback??

Second - before you guys criticize, make sure you are at a level that allows you to do that .....

3rd - Every heard of Constructive Criticism??? If not, go and goggle it Douche-bags... Who knows.. I might even be making you a favor, telling you to learn something that would be useful in your Fricking miserable lives

4th- Do u have any idea how Fricking tiring is it to mod?? How Our fingers got cut? How our eyes ache? How are hands become numb?? Back pain from sitting too much? not to mention brain drain?? DO SOME MINOR MODS FOR YOURSELVES THEN COME AND HATE HERE

This is actually a very nice piece of work AND to give feedback, photo are blurry, seams are visible, and stickers ... but these are nothing Davime can't improve on

    Hey.. no one's perfect.....

( had to delete my previous post to correct some typo ... in your face, Trolls )

  28. Sad when people bash on others creative interpretations of things....appreciate it for what it is and not what you wanted it too be.
(Go and do better if that is the case)

    Still a few typ-o's My brother..haha
    Much Love Gunpla People..Much Love.

Btw...You Know who I AM...AND WERE TO FIND ME.

  29. Some of the imperfections can be seen but that doesn't take away the creation and time devoted on this build. Every one makes mistakes, the smart ones are the ones who learn from it. I say good job and congrats to Davime for his work getting noticed.

  30. The Good:
    - Concept, quite original
    - Mods, took quite a lot of effort

    The Bad:
    - Ain't clean, leaning on the dirty side
    - Too much plates, what made the concept look good made the execution fail a bit

    The Ugly:
    STICKERS

Everybody's free to express opinions. I just took a 360 degree view of things.
