Tamashii Web Shop Limited: Robot Damashii (Side MS) Wing Gundam EW - Review Images by Gundam Guy

Tamashii Web Shop Limited: Robot Damashii (Side MS) Wing Gundam EW
Review Images by Gundam Guy
Finally, had a chance to take some photo for this exclusive Tamashii Web Shop release for the RD Wing Gundam EW.  This figure is a nice addition to my Wing figures collection ever since I began collecting them from the MSIA era.
Box Art
This figure set comes with the standard Wing Gundam accessories
- Buster Rifle
- Machine Cannon (Mounted on the shoulders)
- Shield (with arm attachment part)
- Beam Saber
- 6 manipulators
- 2 set pf Spare Rifle Capsules (signature of the EW ver.)
Profile Images

The wing is very articulate and correct in its proportion.
A hatch on each side of the shoulder that can be open to reveal the machine cannon.  Although the head does get in the way when opening the hatch.
Action Poses
Final Comments:  Robot Damashii figures are pretty much always a top notch figure, and the RD Wing Gundam EW is no exception.  My only gripe was that this Wing Gundam cannot transform into flight mode (bird mode).  And also the head piece gets into the way of opening the machine cannon hatches.  But all in all, this is a solid figure and is a nice collection desktop display for a Wing Gundam fan like myself.
PROS:
- The figure is very articulate
- Did not spot any paint blemish or any defects
- Accessories are pretty standard... was glad that the figure included the the spare rifle capsule.
CONS:
- Cannot transform into bird mode
- Head gets into the way of opening the machine cannon hatch
- This limited/exclusive figure can be quite pricey

  1. Anyone else like this design but absolutely hate this shade of yellow. It's perhaps the ugliest yellow ever, on both the MG and now this one.

  2. I really like the design oft he wing gundam EW version even more than the anime version, but yeah the colors were always my main gripe on the EW wing, jut to colorful, but I would like to get my hands on this.

  3. Different strokes for different folks. I, on the other hand, LOVE Katoki's choice of colours, part of why I love this design so much.
It isn't yellow but orange. And if you knew colour theory, blue and orange are complementary colours, making them go well and look good together.

  4. Complementary or not, this shade of orange just always looks "dirty" to me. As in even if the toy/model is brand new, it looks like it's been on the shelf for a few years and lost some luster.

  5. Err, rifle 'capsule'? I think 'drum' or 'cartridge' is more appropriate here.

  6. That shade of orange looks amazing to me, and it just goes so well with the blue, compared to regular old yellow.
Again, different strokes for different folks.
